Sewerby Hall and Gardens’ ever-popular Jousting event returns this April, bringing live action entertainment to families, visitors and Medieval enthusiasts alike.
The day features England’s number one jousting team from Nottingham, who will bring approximately 20 jousters and their horses, including the Black Knight and Sir Michael of York.
Taking place on Sunday, 5 April, the event which feature jousting displays at 1pm and 2.30pm.
The event will take over the front field with visitors being entertained by ‘rival’ jousters seeking to strike their opponent for points.
Councillor Nick Coultish, cabinet member for culture, tourism and leisure at East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said: ‘’This popular event which is part of the easter programme at Sewerby Hall and Gardens is sure to draw in the crowds.
‘’This fast-paced and action-packed event is a great way for families and visitors to enjoy something different whilst enjoying the beauty of Sewerby Hall and Gardens.’’
The Clock Tower Café will be open and serving a variety of food and drink for those who requires a refreshment during the event.
Standard admission charges to Sewerby Hall and Gardens apply.
