Mallard Court Care Home in Bridlington is opening its doors to the local community this October with a special event aimed at helping people take a positive step towards a healthier, smoke-free future.

Taking place on Wednesday 14 October from 10am –12pm, the event is being held in support of Stoptober, the annual campaign encouraging smokers to use October as an opportunity to give quitting a go.
Michelle Leach from Active Communities will be at the event to offer support and advice to visitors who are considering stopping smoking or would simply like to find out more about the help available to them.
Visitors will be warmly welcomed to Mallard Court, with the morning providing an informal and friendly opportunity to ask questions, seek advice and learn more about the benefits of becoming smoke-free.
Karen Champion, General Manager at Mallard Court, said: “We know that deciding to stop smoking can feel like a big step, and sometimes simply knowing that help and encouragement are available can make all the difference.
“Stoptober is a great opportunity to start that conversation, which is why we’re really pleased to be welcoming Michelle to Mallard Court to share her advice and support with people from our local community.
“Whether someone has already decided they want to quit, is thinking about it, or simply wants to find out more, they are very welcome to come along. We’re looking forward to what should be a really positive and supportive morning.”
The Stoptober event will take place at Mallard Court Care Home from 10.30am on Wednesday 14 October and members of the local community are warmly invited to come along.
