The opening date from the new Bridlington B&M store has been revealed.
The store, which is situated on the Hilderthorpe Road Retail Park – which was formerly the coach park for visiting excursions – sits between the new developments of Lidl and Cooplands Bakery.
According to a posting on the B&M website the opening date is scheduled for Saturday 29 October.
In recent days several lorries have been spotted delivering to the rear of the store and new banners have been placed on the outside of the garden centre area stating that the new store would be ‘opening soon’.
Bridlington Jobcentre has been holding interviews for posts within the store last week with over 100 potential employees attending interviews.
A spokesperson for the Jobcentre, said: “B&M interviewed in Bridlington Jobcentre on 6th & 7th October for their new store which is due to be opened on the 29th October.
“Over the 2 days 160 interviews were arranged with 48 of those being Bridlington Jobcentre customers, in total 122 people attended for interviews, outcomes of interviews are still pending.”
Despite several attempts the Echo is still awaiting further comment from the B&M press office.
