A pair of seabirds were trapped in netting on a building in Bridlington earlier today – causing distress to passers-by.
The RSPCA were informed and attended but the kittiwakes had already been rescued with one flying away and one being taken into care with Whitby Wildlife Rescue.
Kevin Groocock who took these images and also informed the RSPCA, said: The dangers of this type of netting to seabirds needs to be highlighted.”
