An exciting programme of events and activities has been announced for Sewerby Hall, Gardens and Zoo this summer.

‘Summer of Fun’ will take place from Saturday 18, July until Sunday, 6 September.
The popular ICONIC BRICKS will return from Friday, 14 August, ‘Extinction!’ is a 17 model exhibition showcasing animals that roamed the earth millions of years ago up to as recently as the 1930s. Attractions will include a Dire Wolf, Sabre Tooth Tiger, Mammoth skull and much more.

Regular activities during the holiday period will include Coco the Bunny Puppet Show, magic shows, giant bubble display and face painting, as well as zoo activities and Wildcats crafts. Rusticus will bring the outdoors to life with costume themed, interactive storytelling and theatre performances every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Every Saturday throughout summer join Rusticus Adventures: Curious Creatures! 11am, 12.30pm and 2pm. Journey into the woods where a gathering of curious, half-remembered creatures have arrived.

Sundays will see the return of Coco the Bunny Puppet Show, 11.30am, 1pm, 2.30pm. Meet Coco, a mix of slapstick comedy, exciting games and quirky humour.
Mondays promise a weekly escapade with Rusticus Adventure: Journey into the undergrowth! 11am, 12.30pm and 2pm. Discover the hidden wonders of nature in this energetic performance walk for all the family.

Tuesdays bring Rusticus Woodland Theatre: The Lost Wordl! to Sewerby Hall, 11am, 12.30pm and 2pm. A take on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s epic tale of daring explorers and creatures from a time long forgotten.
Every Wednesday there will be magic shows, a giant bubble display and face painting taking place at, 11am and 12.30pm with the bubble display at 2pm. Mr Bubbles’ new comedy magic show will be packed full of fun and laughter throughout. There will be a £3 charge for face painting.
Thursdays will see Rusticus Woodland Creatures Theatre: The sword in the stone! with shows at 11am, 12.30pm and 2pm. Audiences will travel back to the forests of ancient Britain to take part in casting spells and encountering magical beings.

Wildcats will take place every Friday from 11am to 3pm, every week will see a new crafting theme from safari to extinction and much more.
There will be weekly concerts in the Orangery, indoor and outdoor adventure play and games, and zoo activities including ‘Fruit Kebabs’ and ‘Meet the Hoof Stock’.

Yorkshire Day: A packed programme of events and activities, taking place on Saturday, 1 August, 10am – 4pm, will celebrate the very best of Yorkshire culture and heritage.

For vehicle enthusiasts:
The East Yorkshire Thoroughbred Car Club: Summer Gathering will take place Sunday 5 July, 11am – 3pm with many historic and classic vehicles on display.
On Sunday, 9 August the Yorkshire Morgan Car Club has invited its members to take part in a scenic car tour of East Yorkshire, 12.30pm – 3pm.
The East Yorkshire Morris Minor Owners Club Rally gives visitors the chance to take a tour of the magnificent cars on display, Sunday, 16 August, 11am – 3pm.
