The East Yorkshire coast – once again – proved to be the prime spot as the Northern Lights danced across the skies above the East Yorkshire coastline.
Local photographers seized the opportunity to capture these breathtaking moments, while numerous enthusiasts armed themselves with cameras to snap this rare occurrence.
Traditionally seen in regions with high latitudes closer to the Arctic like Iceland and Scandinavia, the Aurora Borealis painted the skies above Bridlington, the East Coast, and various parts of northern UK with shades of pink and green, treating sky-watchers to dazzling displays.
And more unusually it is the winter months that see the most activity of the lights playing out their magical show in the sky.
