Welcome back to Brid…that’s the message from the Mayor of Bridlington who took a paddle in the ‘tropical waters’ to celebrate the town and England easing restrictions and getting back to business.
After months of restrictions Bridlington’s mayor Cllr Liam Dealtry took a dip in the slightly chilly North Sea to give a warm welcome back to visitors as restrictions have eased form today (17th May).
This is the third stage of the planned roadmap out of lockdown with hospitality businesses reopening for inside use and overnight stays now allowed at hotels and bed and breakfast establishments.
Mayor Liam is hoping the town shows the off the wonders of the seaside experience with the best of Bridlington on offer to residents and visitors alike.
“It’s early days, and we must still adhere to some distancing and the wearing of masks in some circumstances, but I’m sure all the brilliant businesses in our town will pull out all the stops and make visitors feel safe and welcome.”
