The generosity of a Bridlington-based business group has help to fund Headlands School Rock Challenge entry for 2017.
The Bridlington Women in Business Group (WIB) organised a charity Race Night and raised a grand total of £1029. The local branch of HSBC also added their support to the event.
Cath Morgan, who is the Head of Perfoming Arts at Headlands school said: “We will be taking 85 pupils to the northern regional finals of Rock Challenge in July. Everybody involved is very grateful for the support from the WIB and I would like to thank them for all their financial help. The expense of the transport, along with the set decorations and costumes is quite large, so this donation is wonderful.”
Sylvia Wright, one of the WIB members said: “We are delighted to donate to the Headlands Rock Challenge fund and help them in this years contest.”
Headlands School have been one of the leading schools in the region in the Rock Challenge events. Having won many competitions over the years, the school have also tackled sensitive subjects with their presentations and gained many plaudits for their groundbreaking plays.
