Young people across Bridlington are being given the chance to showcase their creativity by designing the Mayor’s official Christmas card for 2026.

The Mayor of Bridlington, Cllr Mike Heslop-Mullens, has launched the annual competition and is inviting children and young people aged between four and 16 to take part.
The winning festive design will be used as the Mayor’s official Christmas card, which is sent to friends, family and even King Charles III.
Entrants are being asked to create an A5 Christmas-themed design and submit it to Bridlington Town Council. Each entry must have the child’s name, age and school clearly written on the back. The closing date for entries is November 6.

A range of prizes is up for grabs. The overall winner will receive a family ticket to the Bridlington Spa pantomime along with a £50 Argos voucher. Second place will receive a £30 voucher and third place a £20 voucher. Five additional entrants will receive highly commended festive prizes.
Last year’s competition attracted a strong response, with winning entries displayed publicly during the festive season, including in the Boyes shop window.

Town council representatives hope this year’s competition will once again encourage young artists from across the town to get involved and spread some Christmas cheer.
