Community groups across Bridlington have received more than £3,400 in Small Grants from Bridlington Town Council during a presentation led by Mayor Cllr Angela Walker on April 30.
Representatives from local organisations gathered for the bi-annual awards ceremony, where councillors celebrated volunteers working to improve life in the town. Guests also enjoyed a performance from the Bridlington Red Admirals Majorettes following their successful competition weekend.
Funding was awarded to Bridlington u3a, Bridlington Community Shed, Coastal Voices, Bridlington Sea Cadets, Acorn Rabbit Rescue, Bridlington Petanque Club and the Bridlington Armed Forces Day event, alongside several other community groups.
Mayor Angela Walker praised the dedication of volunteers, saying: “Thank you all for making Bridlington, Bridlington. Your hard work and commitment continue to enrich our community and support residents across the town.”
Applications for the next round of grants, worth up to £500, close on August 15, 2026. The council encouraged eligible parish groups to apply before the summer deadline for consideration.
