Police officers carried out a drugs warrant at a property in the Well Lane area of Bridlington last week as part of a national crackdown on county lines drug activity.
The operation, led by Bridlington’s patrol and neighbourhood policing teams, took place during County Lines Intensification Week following reports of an increase in violence linked to suspected drug supply from the address.
During the warrant, officers located cannabis at the property. A suspect has since been summonsed to attend court at a later date in connection with the discovery.
Police said that alongside enforcement action, officers also assessed whether anyone at the address may have been vulnerable to exploitation. As part of this process, they liaised with partner agencies to ensure appropriate safeguarding measures were considered.
A spokesperson said the force remains committed to tackling those who bring drugs into the area and cause harm within the community.
They added that operations like this are often driven by information from local residents and encouraged the public to continue reporting concerns. Information can be passed to police in person, by calling 101, through the Humberside Police website, or anonymously via Crimestoppers.
