The annual Flamborough village fun day has raised thousands of pounds for the local RNLI station and also the pre- school.
Thousands of visitors flocked to ever-popular event to enjoy many stalls and attractions such as the much anticipated maggot racing.
The event, which was held on the village green, raised much-needed funds for the two village organisations.
Volunteers, stallholders and entertainers helped make the day a great success.
Some crew members assisted with BBQ cooking until they had a double callout in the early afternoon.
The event was officially opened by Bridlington Mayor Cllr Rick Arrand and his wife Kim.
Flamborough Lifeboat Supporters Group Chairman Pat Toft, said: “ We are pleased to announce that the Annual Fun Day on Flamborough Village Green, on Sunday the 25th August, raised a grand total of £5,518.99 after expenses.
“Plus a further donation of £315.98 was given to Flamborough Pre-School from the Drinks Tent and BBQ, as in previous years.
“Our Fun Day is getting bigger and more popular each year. A big thank you to everyone who came to support us on the day, and helped us raise this fabulous amount.
“This all goes towards the upkeep of our Flamborough Lifeboat.”
