Young fundraisers have handed over thousands of pounds to Bridlington RNLI.
Abi and Evie have been raising money for the Bridlington RNLI station for over a year with various sponsored events.
At the weekend Abi met up with the Bridlington crew members and volunteers to hand over a fantastic amount of £2,685.36.
The total amount since the young ladies started fundraising for the Bridlington Lifeboat station now stands at an incredible £15,000.
Fundraising manager Bob Taylor from the Bridlington RNLI was overwhelmed with the huge amount raised.
“We were delighted that Abi, of Abi and Evie fame (Evie was in Manchester at a Coldplay gig) joined us as shore crew today during our ILB exercise, during which she handed over cash totalling £2,685.36.
“This amazing amount was raised during a farmers market where they ran a bottle tombola and raffle.
This brings their running total to just short of £15,000 – amazing work girls, we are so proud of you.” added Bob.
The girls are taking a well earned break now to concentrate on their exams and are hopefully they will be joining the crew and volunteers at the open day in July.
