As they lose weight they will both raise funds for their chosen charities.

James has chosen ‘MIND’ mental health charity which he says is massively important and relevant to all our lives

Shaun has chosen the Stroke Association in recognition of the life changing stroke that Clare, his partner, experienced.

James is a familiar face around Bridlington and the villages doing his delivery rounds for greengrocers Pro-Fruit which he runs with his family.

Shaun is an accountant with Smailes Goldie, based in Scarborough.

A spokesman said: “There will be lots of ways people can donate and help motivate the gents to go the extra mile and The Cue & Cushion will be giving £100 in vouchers to the winner as well as accepting a huge drop in our chocolate and crisp sales over the next 6 months – so please help the cause if you can.

To help raise further funds for the charities, three sweepstakes have been made available for anyone who wants to participate.

Sweepstake 1- Total weight loss for Shaun
Sweepstake 2- Total weight loss for James
Sweepstake 3- Combined weight loss for both contestants

Each entry is £2, or you can enter all three sweepstakes for £5. Half of the total raised from the sweepstakes will be split evenly among the three individual winners. The remaining half will be donated to the charities chosen by James and Shaun.

Alternatively, you can choose to sponsor the dieting duo directly by pledging a set amount or by pledging an amount per pound of weight lost over the course of 6 months.

“All money raised will be split between the two charities chosen by our “Biggest Loser” contestants, with a 60/40 split in favour of the overall winner.
