Last Saturday night following reports of males seen to be using drugs within the town centre two males were stop searched and class A and class B drugs were located on both males.

As a result both males were issued community resolutions and dispersed from the night time economy area to prevent further issues occurring.

A spokesperson said: “Whilst often people comment on these types of issues as being minor offences, drug use within the night time economy is a significant contributing factor to violent offences.

“As such we will continue to target those using drugs within the night time economy to prevent violent offences occurring.

“This weekend officers from Bridlington Patrol will be back out on foot within the town centre so please do come and say ‘hi’ and let us know if you are having any issues so that we can address these.”
