A Bridlington volunteer is once again going to great heights—literally—to raise funds for a life-saving regional charity.

Andrew Stockdale, a registered volunteer with Yorkshire Air Ambulance, has announced his latest fundraising challenge: a thrilling wing walk scheduled for Friday, 12 June 2026 at RAF Church Fenton.
Stockdale is no stranger to bold fundraising efforts. In recent years, he has braved icy waters with a Christmas Day dip in the North Sea and even completed a skydive from 10,000 feet to support the charity.

His upcoming wing walk, where participants are strapped to the top of a moving aircraft in flight, promises to be his most daring challenge yet.
Residents of Bridlington and beyond are invited to attend and cheer him on, weather permitting. For those unable to make the trip, Stockdale is encouraging supporters to contribute online and help him continue raising vital funds for the emergency service.

Donations can be made via his fundraising page:

All proceeds will support Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s critical work providing rapid-response care across the region.
