On Saturday, April 12th, 2025, seven-year-old Riley Thorne from Bridlington will undertake a sponsored walk to raise funds the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Dressed as the Star Wars character Darth Vader, Riley will set off from the Bridlington Spa and make his way to Sewerby Hall and Gardens, with an expected walk time of 2 hours.
Accompanying him on this adventurous journey will be another Star Wars fan, his dad Chris who will be dressed as Darth Maul.
Riley, a pupil at Bay Primary School, has been a regular fundraiser since the age of five, previously raising funds for RNLI Bridlington Lifeboats and M.A.S.H.
In addition to the April walk, Riley has plans for another fundraising event in Autumn 2025, although the charity he will support remains undecided.
The options include either the Hinge Bridlington or the Salvation Army Charity Shop Bridlington.
