Well done to all at Headlands School !
Headlands School GCSE Results 2016
Congratulations to our exceptional students – the class of year 11 2016! You smashed it! I am thrilled with the brilliant set of GCSE results our students have secured for 2016. For the measure of A* – C English and Maths early indications are 61% of the cohort secured this Government Performance Measure.
Furthermore we recorded our best ever GCSE English results with 78% of students securing an A* – C grade. Other subject areas that achieved outstanding results include our GCSE PE students where 77% achieved an A* – C and 32% secured an A* – A grade. Both these measures are well above the National Average for this subject area. All our Performing Arts subjects “shone” again reaffirming our place as a leading school in the area for these subjects with GCSE Dance, Music and Drama all achieving 100% A* – C. Well done everyone!
Outstanding student performances were secured by many students but of particular note are Jacob King (10 x A*, 1 x A) Eric Liu (11 x A*, 1 x A) and Lauren Stoddard (2 x A*, A x 6 and B x 3). Superb results!
Well done once again to all our amazing students, your hard work and determination really has paid off. We will continue to strive for even better results for all our students in 2017 and look forward to our students returning in September to study in our very successful 6th Form.
