Bridlington braces for Storm Herminia

Residents experienced a wild afternoon as Storm Herminia swept through the area today (26th January, 2025), bringing a dramatic shift from yesterday’s sunshine.

The South Pier saw very choppy seas, with crashing waves and gusty winds wreaking havoc along the coastline.

Local authorities have issued warnings for high winds and heavy rain expected to persist over the next few hours.

Community members are advised to stay indoors and avoid the waterfront as conditions are expected to worsen.

As the storm intensifies Bridlington Coastguard are warning about the dangers of standing or walking near to cliff tops and close to rough seas.
