After the recent storms and strong easterly winds deposited tons of seaweed, dead marine life, ocean debris and litter on Bridlington’s beaches volunteers have been out to help with clean up.

Many helpers, as part of their daily exercise, collected litter and debris, much of which had been brought up on the high storm tides

Matt Barnes, the Echo’s environmental columnist, was on hand with the beach clean, helping to move dozens of bags of waste off the beach for ERYC workers to collect in their tractor.
