Heavy showers and thunderstorms swept across the north of the UK this morning, bringing localised flooding and difficult travelling conditions.
Motorists faced delays after flooding caused issues on the A165 between Bridlington and Carnaby at the junction of West Hill on 26 June.
Drivers were urged to slow down, allow extra time for their journeys, and avoid driving through floodwater. Weather conditions remained unsettled throughout the morning, with further heavy downpours affecting parts of the region.
Authorities continued to monitor the situation as surface water created hazardous conditions on several roads before conditions gradually improved later in the day.
