Hundreds of homes remain without power after high winds from Storm Darragh disputed electric supplies in the area.
A swathe of coastal and wolds villages have been without power since around 9.30am this morning (8th December).
Estimated reconnection times have been given at 10pm by Northern Powergrid on 9th December – over 36 hours since the first reported power cut.
Villages affected are; Buckton, Speeton, Reighton, Hunmanby Gap, Primrose Valley, Burton Fleming, Rudston and Kilham.

STORM DARRAGH: SUNDAY 8 DECEMBER – 17:30 UPDATE
Storm Darragh has impacted our network with damaging winds impacting across our regions. This has affected our ability to safely carry out repairs.
We are working hard to restore power to all customers impacted by the storm.
We are aiming to give our best view and timings for getting people back on today, but there is a possibility that some of those repairs will run later into the night.
For those customers where we estimate your power will be back on at 22:00 on Monday 9th December, we are aiming to have power restored before then, however, we will update when have a more accurate time and will contact customers directly.
We are updating the power cut map regularly, with more accurate estimated times as soon as we are able. The map gives the same information that is available to our contact centre advisors.
