Because of the freezing temperatures and bitter windchill, gigantic icicles have formed and created a spectacular wall of ice on parts of the cliff on the coastline of the Flamborough headland.
Though they look beautiful, the Coastguard have advised as always, that local walkers show caution and don’t venture too close to the base of the cliffs due to the danger of falling debris.
Ellen Leach was on her daily walk when she spotted these huge ice formations near to Danes Dyke today.
With temperatures expected to rise over the next 24 hours, the danger of the large icicles dislodging is increased.
