The East Riding coast will host the 31st annual Paul Roggeman European Open
Beach Fishing Championship in March.
The three-day competition will run from Friday, March 7 and stretches
from the north end of Bridlington’s
North Marine Promenade to Pilot
Jetty at Spurn Point.
Competition anglers from across Europe will be in action and weekend tickets are now on sale – £30 for seniors and £20 for juniors.
Pairs and teams-of-four tickets are also available.
Tickets bought at the event will be £40 for seniors and £30 for juniors. Applications for advance ticket close on Thursday, February 20.
The popular warm-up Flattie Bash opens the championships. The catch and release event will be held between Fraisthorpe beach and Hornsea with fishing times between 10am and 2pm.
Tickets are £10 per person (cash only) with registration at Hornsea Floral Hall, 7-9.15am.
