Work has commenced on the second of two huge heritage murals in Bridlington.

Artist Sam Porter started work on the Old Town mural over the last weekend of March and the image, taken as the Echo went to press, shows a taste of what the completed artwork will look like.

Situated on a wall at the junction of Scarborough Road and High Street, it is
expected to be completed by the end of April.
Sam from Mural Minded has been a familiar figure over the last few weeks on top of a ‘cherry picker’ hoist, painting the rear wall of the former McDonalds building near to the harbour.

ERYC have said that feedback highlighted a desire to showcase key aspects of Bridlington’s heritage including the harbour, fishing industries, the Gansey Girl, the Barrow Boy, Priory Church, Old Town and local sea life and nature.
