The town recently hosted a vibrant Thinking Day celebration, joining a global event honoring Girl Guiding. Eighty participants from local groups, including groups from Sewerby, St John’s Burlington, and St Mark’s West Hill, enjoyed the day.
The youngsters took part in craft sessions inspired by cultures from India, Mexico, and Switzerland, and created artworks representing these countries.
District Commissioner Chris Ball explained: “Three of our groups joined together to celebrate Thinking Day, where we remembered Guiding all over the world.
“Everyone placed a £1 on the Trefoil to help those less fortunate join Guiding.
“Several crafts and taster foods were enjoyed from Switzerland, Mexico, and India, which are three of our Guiding World Centres.
“We finished by renewing our Promises. The girls really enjoyed meeting others from across Bridlington and seeing the different sections.
