Cheers: The much-missed Kings Arms pub on King Street officially reopened in mid-November, welcoming customers back through its doors after several months of closure.
The reopening, which took place on 14 November, marks a fresh start under new owners James Barker and Ben Cox, who have spent recent weeks giving the pub a full refresh ahead of its return to the town’s social scene.
“We’ve put a lot of hard work into getting the Kings Arms ready,” said Ben. “We’re really excited to welcome both familiar faces and new customers. It’s a brilliant feeling to finally be open.”
Punters can expect a large selection of lagers, real ales, beers and ciders, along with an extensive range of spirits. The new landlords say they hope to create a warm, relaxed atmosphere for locals and visitors alike.
Ben is no stranger to hospitality, already owning the well-regarded White Swan in Hunmanby, while James is a familiar face around Bridlington.
Alongside running Universal Signs on Hilderthorpe Road, he is known for his volunteer work supporting local charity fundraising through Bridlington Round Table.
James added: “It’s a privilege to take on such a well-loved pub. We’re looking forward to building something special here.”
With the doors open once again from 11am daily and a fresh team at the helm, the Kings Arms looks set to reclaim its place as one of the town centre’s most popular pubs.
