The volunteer crew at Flamborough RNLI launched on active service to reports of a person in difficulty in a sea cave at North Landing.
Here are the details.

Flamborough RNLI launched on service today (26 March) at 2:26pm following reports of a person in difficulty in a cave at North Landing following capsize of a kayak and a kayaker in the water.

When the crew arrived on the scene no assistance was needed for the person in the cave and there was no sign of another person in the water.
A coastline search between North Landing and Thornwick Bay was carried out.

Kayaks and other vessels in the area up to Bempton cliffs were checked but none were the source the distress signal.

Lifeboat and volunteer crew returned safely to the station at South Landing at 3:05pm where the tractor and lifeboat were cleaned, refuelled and prepared for the next service.
