History Comes Alive: Eden Camp reveals its 2026 programme of events

Eden Camp, the modern military museum in North Yorkshire has announced an action packed 2026 season, with a list of events and activities that will excite families, history buffs, and curious minds. With new great-value ticket pricing, the year ahead promises to be an exciting one, with events including:

  • Drive it Day: Classic Cars (26th April)
  • May Half Term Tank Week (23rd -31st May)
  • Modern Military Weekend (6th-7th June)
  • WWI Living History Weekend (12th-13th July)
  • Summer holidays fun: Women at War (18th July – 1st September)
  • Living History Weekend – Homefront Heroes (30th-31st August)
  • Back to the 1940s (10th-11th October)
  • October Half Term Spy Week (24th-29th October)
  • Halloween Street (30th October-1st November)

The award-winning museum is a truly unique historical experience, set within the original buildings of a former World War II Prisoner of War camp. Each exhibit tells a personal story, showcasing the resilience, sacrifice and spirit of all those who lived through one of history’s most challenging times.

From tanks and military vehicles to authentic re-enactments, the full calendar of special events and living history weekends not only provides a unique, immersive experience in a historic setting, but is excellent value too.

Eden Camp is introducing even better value when you pre-book tickets to visit online. Admission prices for Adults (16+) are £17 pre-booked online and £20 on the day. Child (5-16) tickets are £15 pre-booked online and £18 on the day. Concession (65+) and family tickets are also available.

About Eden Camp

  • Eden Camp near Malton is the only remaining prisoner of war camp in Britain, built in 1942, where the original huts have been preserved and turned into immersive and engaging displays welcoming more than 100,000 visitors in 2023. 
  • The huts have been re-equipped to tell the story of The People’s War, the social history of life in Britain from 1939 to 1945 – featuring a new Blitz experience in Hut 5
  • Eden Camp received £224,000 in funding from North Yorkshire Council from the £16.9 million UK Shared Prosperity Funding allocated to North Yorkshire, used to restore the original POW huts built in 1942. 
  • The collection at Eden Camp includes historic military vehicles, thousands of military items and has an archive collection with over 103,000 documents, artefacts and photographs. 
  • Eden camp welcomes over 25000 children each year for formal educational visits in a typical year.  
  • Winner of Best Educational Day out 2023 for the SME Northern Enterprise Awards for the third year in a row.
