Fire crews from Bridlington, Driffield and also three from North Yorkshire in attendance at a huge field blaze and combine harvester fire near Burton Fleming.
Plumes of black smoke could be see for miles around, especially from nearby Filey and the Bempton and Flamborough headland.
It is understood six fire appliances are in attendance at the incident, with crews from Bridlington and Driffield on the scene as well as engines from nearby stations in North Yorkshire.
The blaze is said to have spread from a combine harvester which set alight whilst cutting a field of corn this afternoon.
It quickly spread to the standing corn and the wind fanned the fire quickly over a large area of farmlands on the north-eastern edge of the Wolds.
