A vacancy has arisen on Bridlington Town Council’s North Ward
following the sad death of Councillor
Cyril Marsburg.

A public notice issued by the council states that a by-election will be
held if 10 local electors submit a written request to the Chief Executive of East Riding of Yorkshire Council by September 4, 2026.
Should the required number of requests not be received by the deadline, the vacancy will instead be filled through the council’s co-option
process.
The notice was signed by Deputy Town Clerk N. Vickers and published
on August 17.
