With just two months to go until the second Bridlington Pride event at the Spa on July 1st, organisers have updates on the event.

A spokesperson said: “We wanted to provide a quick update and on what is happening –

“We are grateful to the Yorkshire Coast BID for sponsoring the event and to Country Style Foods for supporting the main stage once again.

“Additionally, we are thankful to Hudson Contract and Humberside Fire and Rescue for enabling us to be able to provide the children’s room again after its success last year.

“When we asked what you’d like to see at this year’s Pride, the overwhelming response was a Parade. And guess what……thanks to the team at Coastal Services East Yorkshire, we’ll be having the most colourful `Parade on the Prom‘ that Bridlington has ever seen!”

If any organisation/business would like to be a part, please email Stacey Mitchell at parade.bridlingtonpride@gmail.com

“We received some criticism regarding last year’s event; specifically, people were unable to re-enter the venue after they left.

“To combat this issue, tickets are now available for £5.00 from the Bridlington Spa (https://www.bridspa.com/events/?entry=spx_421803). Or, if you prefer, free tickets will be available from the box office on the day.

“We are still looking for sponsors who will help us put on the event. There are various ways to do this, from making a small donation to sponsoring the parade.

This year, there will be two stages of entertainment: the main stage, and the theatre stage. Additionally, there will be a DJ set and live music from the stage outside.

Businesses and organisations will have the opportunity to have a table inside the royal hall (near the main stage) for £60.00 (electricity supply will be £15.00 extra).

Please note that food cannot be sold in the venue, however, there will be an area outside for food vendors.

Anyone interested should contact Sarah Kemp at events.bridlingtonpride@gmail.com.

“We are eagerly awaiting this event, and would love for businesses and services in the area to be involved. If anyone is interested in volunteering, please get in touch!” added the spokesperson.
