A chance to see how the Bridlington RNLI operate behind the scenes this Saturday – 29 July – as the station will hold its annual Open Day.
There are lots of events going on in and around the station, which is situated on South Marine Drive, next to the Spa Royal Hall on the sea front.

The Open Day commences at 11am with an official opening by the Mayor, Cllr John Arthur and will again comprise of the usual fun activities including; a frisbee challenge, an octopus surprise, hook a lifeboat, soak the crew and so much more like the perennial favourite the welly wanging.
There will also be a raffle, refreshments, Lifeguards, coastguards and other water safety assets will also be in attendance.

Bob Taylor, Lifeboat Water Safety Officer, RNLI
Bridlington said: “Usually we pack as much as we can into one day, but this year we’re extending it over the week, and our street collection will be a week earlier, this way we won’t have too many plates to spin on the open day”

Ever fancied a chance to have a closer look at our lifeboats and station, well now’s your chance. We can now offer tours of the Lifeboats Station, including the boats.
The next Station Tours will take place on Saturday 29th July and Sunday 6th August. Prices are £5 per adult and £2.50 per child.

There will be a Booking Booth open between 10am and 4pm on these days.
