A parade of ornate and beautifully decorated lanterns will gather and make its way along the historic streets of Bridlington Old Town this Saturday evening (December 2nd) from 5.pm.

Organised by the Destination Old Town (DOT), the team will be hosting the annual Lantern Walk Experience on Saturday 2nd December from 5pm.

After creating the lanterns at free workshops during November, participants will walk along High Street from the Black Lion to the Priory Church Green and then back.

The parade will have musical accompaniment from local musicians and spectators can follow the trail as it sets off along the quaint streets.

The event was well supported in 2022, and organisers are hoping for an even bigger turnout of spectators and lanterneers this year.

The event is being organised by Destination Old Town (DOT) and spokesperson Joy Verda explained: “We have been creating lanterns in the Black Lion Music Hall and this is our 6th parade.

“Join in the parade or simply just enjoy the unique sights.”

Joy has led the construction workshops with many more new and highly creative lanterns being designed especially for the event.
