A grand total of 470 youngsters from the town entered their artistic designs for this year’s official Bridlington Town Council Christmas Card.
The annual festive competition is organised by Bridlington Town Council with local youngsters invited to create and then hand in their designs for the Mayors official Christmas card.
The cards are sent to the dignitaries of the East Riding of Yorkshire, other town mayors and civic leaders, Bridlington Town Councillors, members of the community and friends and family of the Mayor and Mayoress.
This year, the winning design was created by Chloe-Mai.
Her prize is a family ticket to pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk – (kindly donated by the Bridlington Spa) and a £50 Argos from Bridlington Town Council.
Second place went to Ava and Harry who was awarded 3rd place.
Ava was presented with a £30 Argos voucher and Harry collected a £20 Argos voucher for their eye catching cards.
Said Bridlington Mayor Cllr Rick Arrand: “Thank you to all 470 children who entered the competition. It was so hard to choose that the Mayor and Mayoress also chose 12 highly commended winners, who were each awarded a certificate and a beautiful handmade gift made by the Mayoress herself.”
The winning design will now be replicated in print and made in to the Mayor’s official greeting card.
