East Yorkshire race ace Chloe Wilkinson will be representing England in the Formula Woman Global Nations Cup in Dubai in December.

The Bridlington community nurse from Thwing will be swapping her uniform for a race suit as she competes against 49 of the world’s leading female racers, from 25 countries.
Races are planned across the world for the inaugural season of the series, which aims to tap into the huge pool of talent and passion for motorsport amongst women.

The ultimate aim is to have an all-women’s team in the 24-hour Le Mans endurance road race.
Wilkinson said: “I am so excited to be a part of this great, first-of-its-kind event.

“It has been difficult being a woman in a ‘man’s sport’ but this event will lead the way for women in motorsport.”
