Building society staff in Bridlington, along with colleagues from Beverley are putting their best foot forward to raise money for Age UK.
Staff from the Yorkshire Building Society’s branches in both locations will complete a 12 mile walk around Bempton and Flamborough, self-dubbed the Team Bevlington Clifftop Crawl, in May.
The team hope to raise more than £400 to go towards Age UK’s Building Better Lives project which helps prevent older people most in need from reaching financial crisis point, and offers one-to-one support to those experiencing key life events such as loss of a partner, care diagnosis or having to move to a new house.
The Society’s two-year charity partnership with Age UK aims to raise £1million, with branches across the country taking part in fundraising activities.
Sian Kernutt, customer consultant at the Bridlington branch of Yorkshire Building Society said: “We’d like to thank everyone that has sponsored us so far as their generosity will make a huge difference to older people in need, but we’ve still some way to go so donations and encouragement from anyone in a position to sponsor us for this great cause will be most welcome.”
