Telegraph 2 Bridlington Sports Club 1
By Dom Taylor.
Telegraph recorded their fourth win of the season against Bridlington Sports club after an injury time winner from Danny Anderson.

Like a typical derby match both teams were fired up for the game with some really hard challenges going in from both teams.
It was Sports Club who opened the scoring after a long ball from Archie Brown found Billy Tyler who beat the Telegraph defence to slot the ball past keeper Lyle Bogle.

Just minutes later, Sports Club’s Jarrod Smalley and Telegraph’s Alex Staveley clashed together resulting in both sides coming together in the middle of the pitch, Referee Alharbi waited for things to calm down and then showed Sports Club Craig Young a red card and also three or four yellow cards to other players.
With Sports down to ten men Telegraph would soon take advantage of this and level the scores with a sweet strike from Jack Wilkinson beating Van Heerden in goal.
Bizarrely Sports club keeper Nick Van Heerden thought he had scored to retake the lead after his free kick was launched towards the Telegraph goal and the ball bounced over Lyle Bogle into the net, Sports club players and management celebrated only to see the referee rule the goal out as it was an indirect free kick.

In the second half both sides were creating chances, the brilliant Rich Barnes in midfield was causing all kinds of problems for the Sports club defence and Jarrod Smalley at the opposite end saw a long-range shot saved by Bogle.
With around 20 minutes to play there was another clash of players with Sports Club Josh Heseltine and Telegraph’s James Faulkner coming together. Heseltine was shown a straight red card and Faulkner a second yellow resulting in a red card.

With Sports club down to nine men Telegraph took control of the game and looked the most likely to get a winner and as the game went into stoppage time. It was ‘Graphs Danny Anderson who grabbed the goal sending the Telegraph management and supporters into scenes of joy.
The win sees Telegraph move to within two points of Sports club in the league and they have a game in hand.
