Bonfire Night is back with a bang – but with one major part will be missing.
Bridlington’s two major events on November 5 both promise some exciting firework displays but neither will have a bonfire.
The annual Bridlington Rugby Club firework display, is again in association with Bridlington Lions, and will also include fairground rides, hot food and drink stalls, various side stalls and the bar will be open.There is also a covered area, holding up to 250 people and free parking.
The rugby club is in Dukes Park, Queensgate and gates open at 6pm.
The Ship Inn at Sewerby is hosting its annual charity firework extravaganza on the cliff tops.
Entry is free but donations are welcome as the pub is supporting the Hinge Centre in Bridlington.
Charlie Kilburn at the Ship said:“We have teamed up to support the Hinge Centre.We very much appreciate your kindness in helping us raise money to support people locally this winter and over the Christmas period.
“The proceeds raised from the fireworks display evening will enable them to continue providing vital services to the community of Bridlington.”

The event will include live music, an outside bar, street food stall and Charlouccio’s will be open for stone- baked pizza.
There will be no bonfire this year due to the addition of Blu Savannah, the pub’s outdoor bar and kiosk, which will be open on the night.
The fireworks are due to start at 7.30pm.
