Ashleigh Ellerton, 29, has battled inflammatory breast cancer since being diagnosed five years ago after finding a lump.
Earlier in September, Ashleigh’s oncologist at Castle Hill Hospital, near Hull, broke the devastating news that the cancer had spread to her brain and that she should get her affairs in order.

Children Bella 11, Rory 10, Brody 9 and Luca 5 have been made aware they face a future without their wonderful mum.
Brave Ashleigh says: “My head is all over the place, it’s such a terrible overwhelming feeling. Telling the children that I won’t be here for much longer was by far the hardest thing I have ever had to do. Brody and Luca are suffering awful nightmares.

“My Aunt, (Karen Morse) and my mum will help my husband Simon look after the children when I’m gone. I am leaving my darlings but I know they will be very well cared for. I know they’ll be loved as much as anyone could love them.

“It is a big comfort to me, my family are all quite close and I know everyone will pull together and my children will be in safe hands. If anything should ever happen to Simon, my Aunt will have guardianship of the children.

“Since being originally diagnosed we have done many lovely things with the children and made everlasting memories for them to look back on. With this latest prognosis time is rapidly running out and there are things the children want to do and I am determined to make that happen.
“Bella wants to visit Harry Potter World in London and Rory loves Scotland. They also want to visit the Lake District.

“I am determined to see Christmas as it’s my favourite time of the year. We also make a big thing of Halloween, cooking different themed foods each day of October.”
Simon now cares for Ashleigh full-time at their Bridlington home.
He said: “Ashleigh will start an experimental drug and we hope it will hold off the symptoms. She has also agreed to take part in a clinical trial to help other people.
“This has come as a big shock as only two weeks ago we were at a festival and Ashleigh was fine, then wham, it’s hit us like a ton of bricks.”
