To celebrate the
reopening of the newly
refurbished Bridlington
Central Library, families
from across Bridlington
were invited to join in with
a pirate themed family
fun day on Saturday 20
September.
was taking the town by storm,
singing Elvis Presley tunes to
Bridlington residents, whilst
Obby the Circus Performer
rode his unicycle, juggled

Alongside pirate themed
craft activities hosted by
Alex Bennett and friendship
bracelet making sessions,
library staff hosted family
storytimes with pirate books
aboard the brand new pirate
ship in the children’s library
area.
Singer, Jessika-Mae, also
filled the library with song,
getting the party started.
Outside, Memphis Pete
was taking the town by storm,
singing Elvis Presley tunes to
Bridlington residents, whilst
Obby the Circus Performer
rode his unicycle, juggled
and performed plenty of
tricks for children and adults
alike!
Towering above them
all was a memorable guest
appearance from a pirate stilt
walker, dancing to Elvis and
snapping photos with passers
by.
A spokesperson said:
“It was a fitting reopening
for a wonderful facility in
Bridlington town centre,
bringing fun and laughter
right to the heart of the
community.”
