Proceeds from a book written by a Bridlington lady have been handed over to the Marie Curie charity.

A grand total of £640 was raised through the sales of a book written by author Kath Gallagher in memory of her mum.
Her book – As I think of You – outlined Kath’s journey when she lost her mum, Isabella, to cancer.

The book, which is still available for sale at the New Pasture Lane Community Centre, consists of short chapters and poems and was helped to publication by Kate Batten who is the manager at the centre.
The funds raised are being use to pay for 27 hours of care for Marie Curie’s Hospice at Home Service. Part of the donation was raised from a cake sale, with produce baked and sold by Chloe Charlton.

Said Kath: “I would like to give sincere thanks to every single person who has donated, helped and made this whole fundraising experience a huge success.
The book is also available to purchase on Amazon and from Ernest Brighams Funeral Directors on St John Street in Bridlington.
