Mystery surrounds the circumstances as to why a damaged car has been left abandoned for almost a week on a main road into Bridlington.
Several readers have been in contact with the Echo asking why the car has been left for so long on the main A1038 Bessingby Road, just after the traffic lights – and near to Bridlington Hospital entrance.
The black Ford is understood to be fully road taxed until April 2025.
The vehicle has ‘police tape’ wrapped around the body of the car meaning that police are aware of the situation.

A local resident told the Echo: “The car has been abandoned for around a week, the windows are down and at least one of the tyres is flat…it needs to be removed as it’s a hazard for traffic coming down into Bridlington from Bessingby Hill.”
