A group of Bridlington Old Town businesses have joined forces to create a Vintage Festival after the annual 1940/50s event was cancelled at short notice.

Nikita Roberts, who owns Sissy and One and Holly Stabler who runs the Board Inn, have joined forces with other businesses on the High Street and Market Place and Old Town area to create a smaller-scale vintage festival that they hope will go some way to make up for the huge disappointment of the cancellation of the 1940/50s event by the Old Town Association (OTA).

Nikita explained: “To answer a few questions – the original event has been cancelled by the OTA – however myself and many other businesses in the area have joined forces and pulled together to accommodate stalls and such to try make an enjoyable day.

“Granted, it won’t be in the same style and scale as it would have been, but something is better than nothing and I’m so proud of our little community for pulling together to help.”

The Vintage Festival volunteers are still looking for last minute vendors who can provide their own tables and have the correct insurance to be part of the event.
