Older residents in Bridlington are being invited to enjoy a free afternoon of entertainment, refreshments and companionship at this year’s Silver Sunday celebration.

The special event, organised with the support of Bridlington Town Council, will take place at Bridlington Community Hub, 2A Marshall Avenue, on Sunday, October 4, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
Silver Sunday is a national initiative that celebrates older people and aims to bring communities together while tackling loneliness and isolation. Bridlington residents aged 65 and over are warmly welcomed to attend the event, which will feature entertainment along with a traditional high tea including sandwiches, cakes and drinks – all free of charge.

Organisers say the afternoon will provide a wonderful opportunity for local people to socialise, make new friends and enjoy a relaxing and enjoyable community gathering.
Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. The event is open exclusively to Bridlington residents aged 65 and over, and proof of address may be requested when booking.
To reserve a place, call 01262 409006 between 9am and 2.30pm.
