Weather forecasters have issued an alert for potential travel disruption and damage to buildings in the Bridlington and northern parts of the country due to strong winds of up to 60mph this Friday morning ( 23rd August).

The Met Office has issued weather warning covering the majority of the region with Storm Lilian set to bring strong winds to our area.

Severe Disruption to Scarborough-Bridlington-Hull Transport Routes
Northern Railway have issued a severe disruption to the Scarborough-Bridlington-Hull service due to severe weather warnings. As a result, some lines are blocked.
Train services running across the whole Northern network will be cancelled, delayed or revised. Disruption is expected until today at 2pm.

Passengers are advised to avoid travelling where possible due to major disruption, as you may be heavily delayed.

A Yellow warning for wind will be in force from 5am until 11am today , Friday August 23, Forecasters have warned that Storm Lilian may lead to disruption with travel expected to see an impact.
