The annual Flower Festival at St Michael’s Church in Bempton is open daily from this Friday 23rd – to Bank Holiday Monday – 26th August.

Lots of stunning displays are filling the village church and the event has been kindly supported by Ernest Brigham Funeral Directors.

Revd Nancy Eckersley, who is vicar at Bempton Church said:
“All life on earth began in the sea and it was many, many years afterwards when the ancestors of land, plants and animals began to venture into the air and onto dry land.

“At our Flower Festival this year we celebrate the world’s amazing and endangered inheritance, which continues to exist below the surface.

“We hope you enjoy the displays made with care and imagination and have time to visit the church hall and sample refreshments and the company of friends.”

Funds raised will go towards the church, but some have their own charity donation boxes.
