A new chapter has begun for one of Bridlington Old Town’s best-known premises with the official opening of The Burlington Blitz 1940s Tearooms.
Owners Alison and Richard Beaumont welcomed their first customers on Saturday, October 3, at the new attraction on High Street, which promises visitors a nostalgic step back in time to the 1940s.

The tearooms, located at 91 High Street in the building formerly occupied by Burlingtons Restaurant, have been transformed into a wartime-themed venue celebrating the spirit, style and atmosphere of the era.
Visitors can expect a “Taste of Nostalgia” as they enjoy refreshments surrounded by vintage-inspired décor and memories of the Home Front.

The opening marks the culmination of months of preparation by Alison and Richard, who are looking forward to welcoming both local residents and visitors to the unique new business.
Announcing the launch, the owners encouraged people to dust off their glad rags, polish their best wartime smiles and join them in celebrating the grand opening.

The Burlington Blitz aims to become a popular addition to Bridlington Old Town’s thriving independent business community, with the owners teasing that there is “plenty more to come” in the future.
