The store will be closed from today until 24th September….
A national food retailer – which has a store in Bridlington – is expanding its premises on Bessingby Way Retail Park.
Farmfoods have had a store at the retail park on the outskirts of Bridlington since the land was regenerated as a shopping area.
The frozen food retailer is understood to be expanding their operations into what was the former Aldi store next door.

This will almost triple the floor space for Farmfoods, though it is thought that some of the space will be given over to a frozen storage area.
The Aldi store has stood vacant since they moved to a new store on St John Street in Bridlington on November 18 last year.

A sign on the shop door announced the closure of the store yesterday (14 August) and according to the Farmfoods website the premises will be closed until 24 September.
Other businesses on the site which include, Curry’s, Sue Ryder and McDonalds are trading as normal.
A spokesperson for Farmfoods said: “I can confirm we are working to increase the size of our Bridlington shop by combing our existing unit with the neighbouring the former-Aldi unit.
“The extended shop will open on Saturday, 24th September offering our full range of branded and own-brand products including frozen food, groceries, chilled foods, bread, milk, fresh fruit and vegetables along with a range of household items.
“We are looking forward to welcoming new and returning customers next month to the bigger and improved premises.”
