From early morning, until late this evening, reports have been coming in describing pods of dolphins frolicking in the waters of the bay, both on the North and South side, and also near to the harbour mouth.

These stunning images have been taken by Flamborough photographer Chrys Mellor, who was a passenger aboard the Bridlington pleasure cruiser the Yorkshire Belle earlier this afternoon.

The dolphins are part of a larger pod that travel up and down the east coast looking for food.

It has been confirmed that at least least one of the female dolphins has a calf with her, this having also been photographed by Chrys last month.
